Two killed in road accidents
14/06/2006 - 01:27:03A man and an elderly woman were killed and three others injured in two separate road accidents, gardaí said.
The man was died when the car he was travelling in was collided with another car on the M1 north of Dublin.
A second man who was also in the car was seriously injured.
A man and a woman, who were in the second car, were removed to Beaumont Hospital but their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The crash happened at 4.15pm yesterday on the motorway north of Swords.
Elsewhere, a woman in her 70s died following after being knocked down by a car at Cashelnavean, Ballybofey, Co Donegal last night.
