Bank of Ireland expands online service
Bank of Ireland is to spend €5m updating its online banking service with a range of new features to make electronic transactions much easier for customers.
The bank’s 365 online service, www.365online.com, has seen huge growth in popularity over the last four years The number of online customers has increased to over 530,000 nationwide, a jump of 88% in the past four years.
The number of unique logins has now reached 17 million per year, while the number of bill payments and money transfers online has increased by 128% in the same period to over four million per year.
Customers will now be able to organise their finances on the newly designed website, with increased ease of access, and will be able to avail of new features, such as:
register and view new and existing bank accounts online, such as mortgages, SSIAs, saving and investments,
view and cancel direct debits,
schedule future payment dates and view payments pending,
select larger typefaces for those with poor sight, and
view and delete beneficiary accounts.
Bank of Ireland 365 online service will be further improved in the coming months with a range of additional services such as international payments; set up, view and cancel standing orders; online registration of third party accounts for payments and mobile phone top-ups.
Mary Dillon, head of the bank’s contact centre, said the new service will allow more and more customers to manage their day-to-day banking needs in the comfort of their own homes, giving them more free time and saving them hassle.
“In addition, Bank of Ireland have a further incentive to use our improved 365 Online service as customers will now qualify for free banking if they make three payments in a fee quarter from their current account, using our improved online banking service,” she added.
