Ajax frustrated by Davids wait

Ajax are starting to become impatient in their bid to bring Edgar Davids back to Amsterdam.

Davids is currently under contract at Tottenham in the Barclays Premiership but said recently he would like to end his career at the club with whom he won the Champions League in 1995.

Little has changed since Davids made that statement, however, and the Amsterdammers are starting to wonder whether the experienced midfielder’s return to the club will actually materialise.

Ajax’s technical director Martin van Geel told Voetbal International magazine: “The waiting ends at some point.”
