New EU legislation to tackle scam advertising
09/06/2006 - 15:29:19Rogue traders who plague consumers via the internet, by post or telephone will be targeted under new EU legislation.
The new law will remove the existing barriers, allowing member states to exchange information, aimed at protecting consumers and catching the scammers.
The regulation covers misleading advertising of products or services, distance selling or package holidays.
