Four crewmen rescued from fishing vessel fire
07/06/2006 - 08:21:01Four crewmen have been rescued following a fire on board their fishing vessel off the coast of north Dublin overnight.
The crew of the Kilkeel-based Noroyna issued a distress call to Belfast Coastguard after the boat caught fire 22 miles from Howth Head last night.
The crew abandoned the trawler and were later picked up by a passing research vessel.
Belfast Coastguard co-ordinated the rescue, which also involved the Howth lifeboat and a Dublin-based helicopter.
