Minister announces increase in local sports funding
06/06/2006 - 14:53:38Minister for Sport John O'Donoghue is to allocate €53.7m to 707 sports projects around the country.
The allocation is part of the national lottery-funded Sports Capital Programme which is administered by his Department.
The figure marks an increase of €12.4m or 30% over the allocations to local projects under the 2005 Sports Capital Programme.
