De Rossa calls on Cullen to adopt EU drink-driving proposal
06/06/2006 - 18:31:56Labour MEP Pronsias De Rossa has called upon Minister for Transport Martin Cullen to fully adopt a statement on road safety by his counterparts across Europe when they meet in Brussels on Thursday.
The current Austrian presidency of the EU wants all states to have a common maximum blood alcohol limit of 50ml per 100ml of blood.
But Ireland, the UK and Luxembourg currently have limits of 80ml per 100ml of blood.
