It's baby time for Chico
06/06/2006 - 19:03:09X Factor star Chico Slimani has become a father for the first time.
His partner Daniyela Rakic gave birth to a baby girl they have called Lalla-Khira Slimani. She was born yesterday morning weighing 9lb 7oz.
“I am ecstatic," said Chico. "Lalla-Khira is beautiful and I am looking forward to fatherhood.”
He chose the name Khira, which means divine blessing in Arabic, after his grandmother.
Chico, a former goat herder from Morocco, was a runner-up in the last series of The X Factor. His debut single It’s Chico Time topped the UK chart.
