Omagh drink company agrees acquisition
North West Liquor Cash & Carry, Omagh, was sold to Golf Holdings for an undisclosed sum today.
North West Liquor will become a separate division within Golf Holdings and the North West brand will continue as before.
The owners of both firms recently decided that with changes in alcohol distribution in the North, consolidation was needed to provide secure employment for staff, grow the business and provide a competitive service to customers.
“I am very proud of the success of the business which I founded 27 years ago,” said Kieran McGinn, owner of North West Liquor. “I am confident that this deal offers the best opportunity for our customers, staff and the future of the business.
“I am looking forward now to the future success of the business.”
Mr McGinn will focus on the growth of his other retail and commercial interests in this sector.
