Epsom ace Fallon shines again
Kieren Fallon worked his magic at Epsom once again when he delivered Echelon with a perfectly-timed run to land the Princess Elizabeth Stakes.
Sir Michael Stoute’s well-backed 15-8 favourite looked to have it all to do at halfway when she was trapped on the inside up the straight in the Vodafone-sponsored Group Three contest.
But the former champion has few peers over the unique undulations and switching off the rail he weaved his way through to hit the front inside the last furlong and beat Musicanna and Zayn Zen by half a length and the same.
Chris Richardson, for the owners the Cheveley Park Stud, said: “I think Kieren likes us to have our hearts in our mouths.
“I think she’s improved since her Lingfield win. She hit that rising ground today and picked up nicely.
“She went one better than Peeress did last year, she was second to Sundrop.
“She stayed this extended mile well and she’ll probably go for the Windsor Forest at Royal Ascot.”
