Children's hospital to be built on Mater site - HSE
02/06/2006 - 16:23:34The Health Service Executive has confirmed that the new National Children’s Hospital will be built on the site of Dublin’s Mater Hospital.
It follows a report from a special taskforce, which recommends that the most central adult hospital in Dublin would be the best site for the new facility.
The new 400-bed facility will replace the three children’s hospitals in Temple Street, Crumlin and Tallaght, and will also offer extensive maternity services.
