Ballesteros invited to French Open
30/05/2006 - 18:14:22The organisers of the French Open on June 29-July 2 have paraded a long list of former champions they hope will be competing in the event – and it includes four-time winner Seve Ballesteros.
Last October’s Madrid Open was the last time Ballesteros played on the European Tour and that was his first appearance for two years, but he did say a month ago that he was back practising and
wanted to play the Open championship at Hoylake in July.
All former winners of the French Open have been invited to come and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the tournament.
