Low-fares Aer Lingus to leave One World Alliance

Aer Lingus is leaving the One World Alliance, which offers reward schemes and privileges to customers, including air miles.

The move comes as the airline positions itself as a low-fares carrier.

The alliance is made up of eight airlines, including American Airlines, British Airways and Qantas.

Aer Lingus joined the group on June 1, 2000.
