Morgan leads at Senior PGA Championship
28/05/2006 - 10:29:51Gil Morgan had an unspectacular day but still holds a one-shot lead after the third round of the Senior PGA Championship – the first major of the year on the Champions Tour.
Trying to claim his first major title since the 1998 Jeld-Wen Tradition, the 59-year-old Morgan carded an even-par 71 to move to six-under 207 through 54 holes.
Morgan is one stroke in front of Brad Bryant (72) and three ahead of Peter Jacobsen, who entered the day with a one-shot lead before struggling to a four-over 75.
Loren Roberts also is three shots back.
Defending champion Mike Reid is tied for 19th, 10 shots off the lead following a 75.
