SSIA-holders urged to give small amounts to charity

Aid agency Concern is urging SSIA-holders to consider giving some of their savings to help people in the developing world.

People who took out Special Savings Incentive Accounts are set to get their hands on around €15bn worth of savings when the accounts mature over the coming months.

Concern wants these savers to consider giving a small amount to Third World charities, saying just €100 could help provide a house for a homeless family in Africa.
