Public asked to submit proposals on reform of old laws

The Government has announced plans to begin a public consultation process on reform of outdated Irish legislation.

Much of Irish law dates back to English rule, with some pieces of legislation drawn up as far back as the 12th century.

Members of the public and other interested parties are now being invited to submit proposals on any pre-1922 laws that need to be modernised.
