Red ribbon day for Musgraves distribution centre
25/05/2006 - 11:33:12The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern today officially opened a €35m warehousing and distribution operation in Kilcock, Co Kildare for retail group Musgrave SuperValu-Centra (MSVC).
The distribution centre employs a total of 220 warehouse staff, drivers and office workers, creating 180 new jobs, with 40 transferred from other MSVC locations.
The 150,000sq ft warehouse and office complex on a 21-acre site represents the biggest investment in distribution facilities on a single site in the Republic by Musgrave SuperValu-Centra.
Development of the facility commenced in November 2003 and the site was fully operational by June 2005.
