25/05/2006 - 15:29:01Foreign companies are creating more jobs in Ireland than are being lost.
The IDA's annual report today showed more than 12,500 new jobs were created last year, with over half requiring third-level or higher qualifications.
This was offset by more than 9,000 job losses, giving a net gain of more than 3,400 jobs, the highest since 2000.
Foreign investment of more than €760m was negotiated last year in 71 new projects, 46 of which are locating outside Dublin.
