Winfrey signs weight battle book deal
22/05/2006 - 10:40:05Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has signed the biggest non-fiction book deal in history to write about her weight loss battle.
The 52-year-old will be paid more than $12m (€9.4m) by publishers Simon & Schuster to share her struggles with the world.
She recently said of her weight, which yo-yos between 10 and 15 stones: "It's always a struggle. I've felt safer and more protected when I was heavy. Food has always been comforting."
