Aer Lingus workers to march against privatisation
22/05/2006 - 07:44:31Aer Lingus workers are due to mark the airline’s 70th birthday today by holding a protest march against the Government’s privatisation plans.
SIPTU says the march in Dublin will be the beginning of a renewed campaign of protest against the sell-off, which it believes will be bad for the country and for the workforce.
The union is vowing to raise the issue with EU officials in the coming weeks in the hope that the sale will eventually be scrapped.
