Boy George practices a Feng Shui-style discipline that determines his every move.

The singer uses Nine Ki - a cross between Feng Shui and numerology - when faced with career and life decisions. It means he can't fly in certain directions on certain days and he confesses it has cost him a fortune in lost bookings.

George says: "Everybody in my life thinks I'm insane, but it works for me. My managers say: 'But they're offering £40,000!' But I just won't do it.

"The good thing is it slows me down. And it's great to say no! It allows me to gain some control over my career and just say: 'No. I'm not going to go to Budapest tomorrow and Paris the next day and then Hong Kong,' which is what I was doing for years. Idiot. I hated it."
