Irish Rail dispute resolved
17/05/2006 - 18:09:04The row at Irish Rail, which left thousands of commuters stranded over the last few days, has been resolved.
Train drivers have agreed to operate the new inter city trains from next Monday.
The breakthrough came after almost seven hours of talks today with Independent Facilitator Phil Flynn issuing a joint union statement.
Neither side is saying what, if anything, has been agreed in relation to pay or working conditions.
What is clear is that the unions will now consult with members and the new trains will be carrying commuters from Monday.
