Take That comeback has Ronan pondering reunion

17/05/2006 - 13:30:11
Irish pop star Ronan Keating is considering reuniting his former group Boyzone after watching Take That’s recent successful comeback.

The British foursome recently returned to the stage after a 10-year hiatus with a series of sold-out gigs across the UK and Ireland, which has left Keating wondering if he should reunite with his old bandmates.

Boyzone, comprising Keating, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham, Stephen Gately and Keith Duffy, split in 1999 after five years together.

Despite the initial success of his solo career, Keating's chart success has declined in recent years.

“I saw Take That last Friday,” said Keating. “They were completely brilliant.”

“When the lads appeared I hadn't heard a noise like it since Boyzone's last concert.

“I was feeling, 'This would definitely be nice again.'

“I'm seeing the guys, we're probably going out for dinner on Thursday.

“We're hanging out and chatting and that's all totally cool. So never say never - but there's nothing planned.”
