Strong Irish representaion at Cannes
17/05/2006 - 11:08:42There will be plenty of Irish representatives enjoying the sunshine at Cannes such as Cillian Murphy, Padraic Delaney and Liam Cunningham.
They will be there to support a strong Irish representation at the French bonanza.
Thirteen Irish films will be screened, Julie Le Brocquy’s My Beautiful Rambutan Tree will compete in the Directors’ Fortnight and Irish producer Carrie Comerford’s Red Road is in the official competition section.
It’s going to be crowded in the always-popular Irish Pavilion.
