Sligo hold Drogheda to draw
Sligo Rovers 0 Drogheda United 0
Drogheda kept their eighth clean sheet of the season to move back top of the Premier Division table.
Drogheda ran the first half but again lacked a cutting edge in front of goal.
Glen Fitzpatrick should have put them in front when played through by James Keddy on 15 minutes but had his shot saved by John O’Hara.
Rovers responded with Matt Judge bringing a decent stop from Dan Connor, but Drogheda resumed control with O’Hara making the save of the night to turn Keith Fahey’s volley out for a corner minute before the break.
They could find no way past O’Hara in the second half as well with the Rovers keeper making a decent stop to deprive Fahey after a clever one-two with Keegan.
Substitute Adam Hughes missed Rovers’ best chance on 56 minutes when miscuing in front of goal from Matt Judge’s cross.
