Gardaí in Laois appeal for witnesses to Abbeyleix raid
13/05/2006 - 14:28:14Gardaí in County Laois are appealing for witness to an armed robbery in Abbeyleix yesterday evening.
It happened when three masked men broke into jeweller's shop on the town's Main Street just after 6pm.
The gang - who were armed with a shotgun and a knife - demanded cash and jewellery before making off in a stolen blue Volkswagen Golf in the direction of Portlaoise.
Gardaí say two of the men spoke with Dublin accents.
