Richards discharged from hospital
12/05/2006 - 15:30:00The Rolling Stones star Keith Richards has been discharged from hospital in New Zealand, after undergoing brain surgery on Monday.
The 62-year-old rocker was rushed to The Ascot Hospital in Auckland after pressure started building on his brain following a fall in Fiji last month.
Richards, who will return to the hospital for regular check-ups, thanked "the doctors" and "the beautiful ladies who make painful nights less painful and shorter" in a statement, adding: "I hope I wasn't too much of a pain in the a**e - after all, it was my head that was fixed."
