TomKat hits obscure town for screening

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are going grassroots in a bid to publicise Mission: Impossible III.

The new parents hit the tiny town of Aberdeen in the farthest reaches of north-west America for a screening of the movie, after local Kevin McCloy won a contest to have the movie shown for 200 of his friends.

Two thousand of the town’s 17,000 population showed up to greet the superstar couple, who signed autographs and received plaques from the town’s mayor. The screening was held at a local shopping mall and the red carpet was borrowed from a local event company.
