London 1-14 Antrim 2-16

Antrim were made to work hard for their Ulster SHC quarter-final win in Ruislip as plucky London put it up to the visitors.

The Exiles finished bottom of NHL Division 2B recently, but were right on the tails of the Saffrons, who led by 1-06 to 0-07 at half time. London’s early 0-03 to 0-02 advantage was whittled away when Paddy Richmond grabbed Antrim’s first goal.

Brian McFall, who tallied up 1-05, bagged their second on 51 minutes. Jim Ryan also netted for London, but Jim McKernan’s Antrim side were already on course for a May 21 date with Down.
