McWalter brace helps students beat Sligo

Pat McWalter scored a stunning brace as UCD got back to winning ways to leapfrog ten-man Sligo in the Premier Division table.
College never looked back once central defender Alan McNally headed home Darragh Ryan’s corner after just three minutes.
A terrific solo goal from McWalter extended UCD’s lead on 28 minutes when he picked up the ball in midfield and ended his run with a shot to the top corner of John O’Hara’s net.
Any hope of a Sligo revival faded on the hour when striker Darren Mansaram, only back from injury, was shown a straight red card for a reckless tackle on Conor Kenna.
McWalter added his second on 73 minute with another terrific shot into the roof of the net.
