Post mortem fails to find cause of Meath baby’s death

04/05/2006 - 07:38:17
A post mortem on the body of a baby found in a disused shed in Co Meath earlier this week has produced inconclusive results.

The body was discovered by workmen sheltering from the rain around a mile from the village of Kildalkey on Tuesday afternoon.

A post mortem examination yesterday was unable to determine how the baby died.

Reports this morning say DNA tests will be carried out in an effort to identify the infant's mother.
