Youth hospitalised after suicide attempt at St Patrick’s

A teenage remand prisoner was reportedly rushed to hospital last night after he tried to commit suicide in his cell at St Patrick’s Institution in Dublin.

Reports this morning said the 16-year-old Dubliner was found unconscious in his cell at around 9pm.

His condition is currently unknown.

The youth had reportedly been remanded to St Patrick's earlier yesterday after he was charged with burglary and assault.
