Cheney flight refuels at Shannon
03/05/2006 - 12:49:46US Vice-President Dick Cheney has made a brief stopover at Shannon Airport while en route to eastern Europe.
Mr Cheney's aircraft stopped at the Co Clare facility to refuel overnight while taking the 65-year-old on a six-day visit to Lithuania, Croatia and Kazakhstan.
The US Vice-President, who did not disembark from the flight, is also due to make a refuelling stop at the airport on his return journey to Washington next week.
