Two killed in Gaza blast
02/05/2006 - 11:58:36An explosion destroyed a building inside a Palestinian national security compound in the northern Gaza Strip today, killing two police officers and wounding six others, Palestinian security officials said.
The cause of the blast, in a single-storey building inside the compound in the town of Jebaliya, was not immediately known.
The Israeli army said it had no information on the explosion.
Dozens of rescue workers crowded the area and bulldozers were digging up the rubble of the destroyed building to try to find the dead and wounded.
