FG TD Padraic McCormack to retire at next election
28/04/2006 - 09:58:45Fine Gael TD Padraic McCormack has announced his intention to step down at the next election.
The 63-year-old Galway West TD has been a member of the Dáil for 17 years, but says he will not be contesting the next election.
He made the announcement to his colleagues at a constituency meeting last night, saying it was time to make way for a younger politician.
