Passable Iraq war drama out on DVD
28/04/2006 - 19:25:48THE conflict in Iraq excited the interest of Steve Bochco, famous for creating NYPD Blue and LA Law, among others. Unfortunately, the series was cancelled after one season.
Over There (Fox, €59.95) doesn’t just deal with soldiers in battle, but also those they left behind, and despite its failure to resonate with US viewers, it packs enough drama and action to maintain interest. However, a series focusing on a conflict where American soldiers are still dying may be too close to the bone.
The four-disc box set contains all 13 episodes, and also includes an extensive documentary about the show that runs to 80 minutes.
