Minister to establish legal services of ombudsman
24/04/2006 - 15:16:03A new legal services ombudsman is being established by the Government to oversee the handling of complaints against solicitors and barristers.
It's part of the Civil Law Bill just published by the Minister for Justice.
Michael McDowell has also signalled his intention to change the law with regard to the operation of casino-style operations.
He's worried they could be used for money-laundering and wants to see them closed down.
