Gardaí appeal for help with James Purcell murder case
24/04/2006 - 17:43:39Gardaí have appealed for help with their inquiry into the murder of James Purcell.
The 60 year old was found dead in his flat on Henrietta Street on Friday evening by a female friend.
He had marks to his neck and throat and it is thought he may have been dead for some time
A weapon was also found at the scene.
Superintendent Dave Sheehan said Mr. Purcell was last seen alive on Tuesday March 7th.
Superintendent Sheehan described him as being “approximately about 5'9", 5'10" of slim build and he had a moustache and perhaps people would remember him from that. He was always a jovial type of character but always kept to himself."
