FA Cup semi-final scoreless at break

Honours were even at half-time as Middlesbrough and West Ham clashed at Villa Park for the chance to play Liverpool in next month’s FA Cup final.
Shaka Hislop saved well from Stewart Downing and Fabio Rochemback tested the West Ham goalkeeper from distance as Boro forced the pace, while West Ham’s best chance came just before the interval when Yossi Benayoun fired over.
The UEFA Cup semi-finalists lost goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer shortly before the interval after the Australian was injured following a challenge from Dean Ashton.
