It's tough in the frozen north, though being a dog helps ... and this tale - tail? - is mostly about dogs, in that twee Disney way we have all come to know.
The story concerns an Antarctic expedition to find a fallen meteor, an expedition that gets caught in the ice wastes and has to survive through a long season.
With no room to shelter the huskies they have to fend for themselves, like dogs do: squabbling, fighting, sorting out the pecking order.
It's really a film of two halves: the first has stunning scenery and the second has a lot of mutts acting like most animals do in Disney films: like humans.
