A massive search operation was stepped up today in west Cork for a 22-year-old man who has been missing for four days.

Michael O’Flynn was last seen at around 2am on Monday morning in the vicinity of Clonakilty Rugby Club.

Superintendent Pat Maher, who is leading the investigation, made an appeal for locals to check their land.

“We have a team of 120 volunteers and at this stage we’re appealing to other members of the public that are not involved in the search to check their lands and check their outhouses,” he said.
