Defoe praises Jol's man-management
18/04/2006 - 15:12:37Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has praised Martin Jol for forming a strong bond with his squad at White Hart Lane.
Defoe, 23, has found himself on the bench for parts of the season but he remains impressed with Jol since he took over as boss in 2004.
“It’s easy to talk to him. You can have a laugh with him,” said Defoe on an interview screened by www.premierleague.com.
“It’s good when the manager is like that, especially as a young player.
“He just wants us to do well and when we have played well he shows he is proud of everyone.”
