Limerick 0-21 Waterford 0-14

Limerick maintained their unbeaten run today as they roared past Waterford for a place in the NHL Division One semi-finals.

It was an eighth win in ten for Joe McKenna's side – they drew against Tipperary and Kilkenny. Mark Keane was the top scorer with nine points.

Limerick took the first half by 0-08 to 0-07, but Waterford ended it well with three Paul Flynn frees.

After the Deise had briefly led, Limerick pulled five points clear, 0-18 to 0-13.

Waterford skipper Flynn had a 65th-minute penalty shot saved by Brian Murray and as the Thurles clock ticked, Flynn was red-carded for a silly swipe at Denis Moloney.
