Defensive duo out for Wigan
16/04/2006 - 10:18:44Wigan boss Paul Jewell is facing a selection headache for Tuesday night’s Barclays Premiership clash with Aston Villa after losing central defenders Arjan de Zeeuw and Matt Jackson at Newcastle.
De Zeeuw fractured his collar bone in the 3-1 defeat at St James’ Park, while Jackson damaged a knee, and both could be out for the remainder of the season.
However, Stephane Henchoz could return after recovering from a hamstring problem, while Lee McCulloch, who was substituted at the weekend because of illness, may also be fit.
