Brennan back to bolster Dubs

15/04/2006 - 09:35:50
Dublin have captain Philip Brennan back in their ranks for tomorrow's NHL Division Two semi-final against Westmeath (Navan, throw-in 1.30pm).

The O'Toole's defender returns after a injury lay-off stretching back to the Dubs' win over Wicklow in late February.

In a further boost for Tommy Naughton's side, ace free-taker David Curtin - Dublin's leading NHL scorer with 0-26 - has been named at left half-forward, having shaken off a hamstring twinge sustained in a club game.

Naughton has reshuffled his forwards with the fit-again Stephen McDonnell in to lead the attack on the forty - Tomas McGrane misses out.

Other changes see Michael Carton in at right half-back and Tommy Moore and John McCaffrey have been thrust together in midfield. David Sweeney (abroad) and Padraig O'Driscoll (hamstring) are both unavailable.

DUBLIN (NHL v Westmeath) - G Maguire; P Brennan (capt), K Ryan, T Brady; M Carton, R Fallon, A de Paor; J McCaffrey, T Moore; E Moran, S McDonnell, D Curtin; K Dunne, K Flynn, A McCrabbe.
