Bent back for Charlton

15/04/2006 - 15:05:24
Charlton welcomed back striker Marcus Bent into the starting line-up for their visit to Fulham.

The former Everton frontman was ineligible for the midweek FA Cup quarter-final replay defeat at Middlesbrough but partnered namesake Darren at Craven Cottage.

Fulham were without defender Carlos Bocanegra and midfielder Michael Brown. Bocanegra was ruled out with a thigh injury while Brown began a three-match suspension following his sending off at Portsmouth.

Chris Coleman kept faith with his attacking pair of Brian McBride and Heidar Helguson as they looked for a win which would effectively end any relegation fears.

Fulham: Niemi, Rosenior, Knight, Pearce, Bridge, Malbranque, Diop, Elliott, Boa Morte, Helguson, McBride. Subs: Crossley, Volz, Radzinski, John, Christanval.

Charlton: Myhre, Spector, Sorondo, Perry, Hreidarsson, Kishishev, Holland, Euell, Ambrose, Marcus Bent, Darren Bent. Subs: Andersen, Thomas, Powell, Sankofa, Bothroyd.

Referee: M Atkinson (W Yorkshire)
