Redknapp fined for abusing match official

13/04/2006 - 15:41:21
Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has been fined £1,500 (€2,200) and given a warning by the Football Association for abusing a match official last September.

Redknapp was charged for the incident at Derby, when he was in charge of Southampton, which saw him sent from the dug-out at Pride Park.

He denied the charge and requested a personal hearing. He has since admitted the charge and withdrawn the request, resulting in the fine and warning.
