Motorists urged to drive safely
13/04/2006 - 10:49:48Motorists are being urged to exercise extra caution this Easter weekend in the hope that road deaths can be kept to a minimum.
The National Safety Council says 21 people have died in road accidents over the Easter period in the last five years.
It is reminding motorists that the roads will be significantly busier in the coming days due to increased travel over the long weekend.
The council says this creates added risks and drivers should take extra care as a result.
