Jewell praises Johansson
11/04/2006 - 13:11:57Wigan manager Paul Jewell has praised Andreas Johansson and said the goal-scoring midfielder will start against Newcastle on Saturday.
The 27-year-old Swedish star weighed in with his seventh goal of the season in the 1-1 draw against Birmingham at the weekend.
Jewell is delighted with Johansson’s current form after a slow start to his career at the JJB Stadium.
“We have seen Andreas grow in confidence,” the Wigan boss told the Manchester Evening News.
“He adds a touch of class and has very good technique and vision. He is also very versatile.
“Andreas is a very good pro and is possibly starting to believe in himself. He certainly knows where the net is.”
