Haigh withdraws appeal
11/04/2006 - 13:52:22Vicky Haigh has withdrawn her appeal against the £3,500 (€5,000) fine handed out by the Horseracing Regulatory Authority over the Ooh Aah Camara affair.
At a hearing in January, the trainer was found guilty of deliberately administering bute with no therapeutic justification to the filly last summer, and not informing new trainer Richard Guest she had done so.
The appeal board of the HRA were due to consider whether to allow Haigh to introduce new evidence to support her case at a hearing today.
However, Haigh decided not to go ahead with the appeal, so she forfeited her deposit and was ordered to pay the costs of the hearing.
